Mr. Boundas graduated from Lyons Township High School in 1984. He then went on to study at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX, and attended law school at John Marshall Law School in Chicago, IL. During law school he worked for the firm of Peterson & Ross. He was licensed to practice in Illinois in 1992 and in Indiana in 1999.
He has worked as a Special Assistant Attorney General for the Illinois Commerce Commission, litigating statewide against the trucking and railroad industries from 1993-1995. In 1995 he worked as an Administrative Law Judge for the Illinois Department of Insurance, hearing cases related to violations of Illinois Insurance Laws by Insurance Companies and Insurance Agencies.
Mr. Boundas started his private practice in 1997. In private practice, he has represented many clients in all aspects of divorce and family law. He concentrates his practice in family law and construction/mechanics lien litigation. He handles family law matters with clients ranging in assets up to $10,000,000.00 and over. He is an experienced custody litigator, taking to trial several custody cases over his career with an excellent win loss ratio in those cases. In his mechanics lien practice, he has represented clients in lawsuits against Walmart, Home Depot, Menards, Walgreens, and several large general contractors, and has also had lawsuits on public projects with various municipalities, tollway authoritys, public school districts and federal projects. He has handled lien claims and obtained judgments up to $1,000,000.00 for some of his clients. In May 2013, Mr. Boundas settled a matter for $1,750,000.00 for a civil litigation client.
